Just contact us and we will tow your old car away at no cost to you! You will receive a tax donation receipt after auction and your donation transforms into dinners with family, airline tickets, beach trips, and other Gifted Wishes to Create Moments That Matter for Wish Recipients.

In Honor of Jenny Nelson-Reynolds

Jenny was a member of the auto/towing industry for 20 years. She had a heart for helping those in need. She was always ready with a hug and a loving smile… anything she could do to make someone’s life a little brighter. Her passion for helping others meant you could find her volunteering at Burnside Gospel Mission, Oregon Food Bank, and often at the local animal shelter.

Upon Jenny’s passing, her family wanted to find a way to continue her legacy of charity work and caring for other people. Inspired by the work of the Gifted Wishes, they suggested a program geared towards the donation of vehicles as a means of further supporting our work.

Jenny’s compassion and desire to help people lives on through the donation of cars from tow companies and private donors.

At Gifted Wishes we are dedicated to granting last wishes to underserved people in hospice care.

How do I donate my vehicle to Gifted Wishes?

It’s simple! Contact Gifted Wishes and we will arrange the free pickup of your vehicle. Here’s how to start the process:

What paperwork do I need to get started?

You’ll need to have a title that is clear of all liens and has your name on the front.

If the title is not available, please apply for a replacement title with the Oregon DMV or the Washington DOL and contact us when you have the replacement title. (If your vehicle is 10 years old or older and is registered in Oregon, it’s possible other arrangements can be made.

Do I get a receipt for my donation?

Your final tax receipt will be mailed to you within 30 days of the sale of your vehicle at auction and will include the amount of gross proceeds.

What can I claim as a deduction?

Your tax deduction will be the total amount of gross proceeds of the sale of your vehicle. IRS Publication 4303 “A Donor’s Guide to Vehicle Donations” or contact your tax advisor to determine the amount of your tax deduction.

Does my car have to be running to qualify for donation?

No, but the car must have an engine and be towable.

Do I have to be with the vehicle at the time of pickup?

No. But we must have access to the keys and title of the vehicle. You can schedule a convenient time for you.

How much money will Gifted Wishes receive?

The amount will vary from vehicle to vehicle. We work hard to make our program as efficient as possible, and to get top dollar for your vehicle. A large % of proceeds from the sale of your vehicle will benefit Gifted Wishes. But you will receive a tax receipt for the total sales price.
